ACE Weekly 09/26/03 - 10/02/03 All ACE spacecraft subsystems are performing nominally. The next attitude maneuver is scheduled for 10/03/03. ============================================================================ Orbit Events: The next SEV transit will occur November 26th through December 20th. The minimum SEV angle expected will be approximately 1.19 degrees. ===================================================================== OCRs Executed: NONE ===================================================================== Ongoing Activities: TAPS: Trending, Analysis and Plotting System (TAPS) development continues with emphasis being placed on fixing the DRs attributed to prior releases. A list of priority DRs has been submitted to SGT in order to focus attention on those requirements the FOT determined critical to transition. The final Release 4.1.8 date is 10/07/03. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Automation (ROBOTT): - ROBOTT version 0.2 was installed September 18th on String 1. The FOT initial checkout has been completed and operational activities have been transitioned back to String 1. - Automation Team testing of HSM and Command & Control on String 3 continues. C&C is shadowing passes and an expected delivery date to the FOT is early October. - The first draft of the SUG is expected soon. ===================================================================== Anomalies: DOY 03269 (09/26/2003) ACE Anomaly G03-0088 - GDS (DSS-16) Data Dropout/TCP Problem At 14:52:15, telemetry dropped out from DSS-16. The station was notified of the dropout. At 14:54, DSS-16 stated the problem was with the TCP but encountered problems when attempting to reboot the equipment. At 14:55:00, DSS-16 successfully swapped from TCP-1 to TCP-2. At 14:56:09, telemetry was back online. IMPACT: Telemetry offline from 14:52:15 to 14:56:09 (3 min. 54 secs.). Data recoverable from CDR. Delayed the start of daily activities. DR# G103398 DOY 03275 (10/02/2003) ACE Anomaly G03-0089 - DPS Unable to Process Data on String 1 Received alarms on String 1 DPS indicating Data Processing problems. Manually shutdown the DPS processes and restarted them, but the same errors occurred. Discussed problem with OE, two more attempts to start preprocessing manually also failed. IMPACT: No Level 0 products were created on the backup string. Problem did not affect the operational string. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Glen A.
