ACE Weekly 10/17/03 - 10/23/03 All ACE spacecraft subsystems are performing nominally. No maneuvers were executed this reporting period. The next attitude maneuver is scheduled for 10/24/03. ============================================================================ Orbit Events: The next SEV transit will occur November 26th through December 20th. The minimum SEV angle expected will be approximately 1.19 degrees. ===================================================================== OCRs Executed: NONE ===================================================================== Ongoing Activities: TAPS: Release 4.1.8 was delivered on 10/07/03. The FOT is currently testing this final release to ensure all DRs flagged as "essential to transition" have been fixed. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Automation (ROBOTT): - ROBOTT version 0.2 (OFFLINE) is operational on String 1. - Automation Team testing of HSM on String 3 continues. - C&C is currently in-test by the FOT on String 3 with expected delivery to String 2 sometime in December. - New releases of OFFLINE & HSM to String 2 are expected the week of 3 November. - The first draft of the SUG is expected soon. ===================================================================== Anomalies: DOY 03290 (10/17/2003) ACE Anomaly G03-0101 - DPS Unable to Process Session DPS software reported errors in the preprocessing of the pass data. All attempts to restart processes but they failed. Performed block replay to recapture the data into a new session. The new session was processed nominally. IMPACT: Additional post processing required. All data was captured by DPS in the block replay. DOY 03292 (10/19/2003) ACE Anomaly G03-0102 - GDS 26m (DSS-16) TCP 1 Halt TCP 1 halted requiring DSS-16 to reboot. Telemetry resumed after ~4min. IMPACT: None. All telemetry was subsequently acquired. DR# G103532. DOY 03293 (10/20/2003) ACE Anomaly G03-0103 - DPS Unable to Process Session Same problem occurred on DOY 03290. DPS software reported errors in the preprocessing of the pass data. All attempts to restart processes but they failed. Performed block replay to recapture the data into a new session. However the new session data was not processed as another attempt to process the original session was successful. IMPACT: Additional post processing required. DOY 03294 (10/21/2003) ACE Anomaly G03-0104 - GDS 26m (DSS-16) Y-Axis Hydraulics Problem Telemetry halted and DSS-16 reported Y-Axis hydraulics problem. Telemetry resumed after ~5min. IMPACT: Delayed pass activities. All telemetry was subsequently acquired. DR# G103537. DOY 03295 (10/22/2003) ACE Anomaly G03-0105 - GDS 26m (DSS-16) TCP 1 Halt TCP 1 halted requiring DSS-16 to reboot. Telemetry resumed after ~3min. IMPACT: None. All telemetry was subsequently acquired. DR# G103543. DOY 03296 (10/23/2003) ACE Anomaly G03-0106 - GDS 26m (DSS-16) RNS Problem Telemetry went offline and ACE FOT contacted DSS-16; DSS-16 reported that there were problems with the RNS. 17:24:29 Telemetry back online after ~23min, but noticed frequent dropped frames in telemetry. Informed DSS-16 of dropped frames in telemetry; DSS-16 requested a resweep to reacquire the satellite. Once the resweep completed telemetry was nominal. Telemetry went offline again and ACE FOT contacted DSS-16. Telemetry back online after ~1min and again FOT noticed dropped frames in telemetry. Started receiving complete frames after ~1min. IMPACT: Delayed pass activities. All telemetry was subsequently acquired. DR# G103550, G103551. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Glen A.
