ACE Weekly 03/19/04 - 03/25/04 All ACE spacecraft subsystems are performing nominally. An attitude maneuver was successfully executed on 03/25/04. The next attitude maneuver is tentatively scheduled for 04/02/04. ============================================================================ Orbit Events: Then next transit will occur in the May-June timeframe. ===================================================================== OCRs Executed: None ===================================================================== Ongoing Activities: TAPS: - Transition from GTAS to TAPS occurred on 03/18/04. All trending activities are being accomplished using TAPS. No problems have been noted to date. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Automation (ROBOTT): - Testing of Release 0.5 is progressing well. This release will not be placed on String 1. - Failover monitor/CRON testing began 03/19/04 with some minor problems identified. - ROBOTT Release 0.6 has a target date of 04/01/04. This release will not include any GTAS tasks and will include any fixed DRs at that time. - A color allocation problem with TPOCC has been identified by the FOT that would preclude Automation (C&C) from operating completely "lights out". Investigation into the problem is ongoing. ============================================================================ Extra Spacecraft Activities: - On 03/22/04, executed procedures C_INACT_BIN_RECORD & C_INACT_SSR_TO_ACTIVE to record C&DH B autonomy bin data to SSR-B for later dumping and review. - On 03/24/04, executed procedures C_INACT_BIN_RECORD & C_INACT_SSR_TO_ACTIVE to record C&DH B time-tag data to SSR-B for later dumping and review. - Received S3DPU Anti-Reset Patch and Unpatch loads from M. Popecki. The loads have been built and reviewed by both M. Popecki and the FOT. The upload procedure has been modified and is currently under review. Uploading of the Anti-Reset patch will possibly occur within the next month pending finalization of the sequence of events and concurrence of all parties concerned resulting in a signed-off OCR. Additional details will be forthcoming. ===================================================================== Anomalies: DOY 04083 (03/23/04) ACE Anomaly G04-0022 - Telemetry Outage At 18:22:01, telemetry dropped out from DSS-24 on string 1 (real-time string). Seconds prior, telemetry went offline on string 2 and then string 3. In the event window on string 1 there were messages that indicated a problem with the fanout. At 18:35:39 telemetry was back online. Indications point to a router problem but was never confirmed through troubleshooting. IMPACT: Delayed telemetry acquisition. All telemetry was subsequently retrieved on next day's pass. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Glen A. Miller ACE Flight Operations Observatory Engineer Honeywell Technology Solutions Inc.
