ACE Weekly 04/14/06 - 04/20/06

All ACE spacecraft subsystems are performing nominally.

Orbit/Attitude:

No attitude maneuvers were completed this week.  The next attitude maneuver
is scheduled for Friday 04/21/06.  A spin down maneuver will also be
executed on 04/21/06.

Ongoing Activities:

Space Link Extension (SLE) - The first version of ACE SLE was delivered to
the Library on December 14.  The delivery to the ACE MOC will not be until
after String 3 is converted to the RIONET.  

RIONet - String 3 conversion to the RIONet is on hold based on NASCOM's
schedule.    

Attitude Training - The FOT continues training on attitude determination,
maneuver planning, and maneuver execution.

Extra Activities:

DOY 104 (04/14/06) - Moved backup operations to String 3 because of
front-end power supply failure on String 2.  

DOY 110 (04/10/06) - Moved backup operations back to String 2.

Anomalies:

DOY 107 (04/17/06)  G06-0043  Tape Drive Problem
The tape drive on the prome string could not detect the tape for the weekly
backup.  The tape drive was rebooted and then the backup worked.
IMPACT: Tape drive needed to be rebooted.  It is possible the drive is
dying.

DOY 110 (04/20/06)  G04-0125  Data Server Connection lost (appended)
After EOT, Command & Control lost connection to the Data Server.  This is an
intermittent error.  A DR (CDSID #00021091) was submitted on 11/1/04 to
document the problem.  
IMPACT:  All commanding and data recovery had already completed for support.
Cause of error message continues to be unknown.
