ACE Weekly 11/05/2008 - 11/11/2008 All ACE spacecraft subsystems are performing nominally. ============================================================================ Orbit/Attitude: No maneuvers were completed this week. The next attitude maneuver is scheduled for Friday 11/14/2008. =========================================================================== OCRs: None ============================================================================ Activities: Data Capture: 100% DOY 307-314 2008 There is a higher than normal risk of data loss from October 2008 through February 2009. If there are problems with the passes, it may not be possible to acquire additional DSN time. This higher-risk period has been occurring every winter for the past couple of years. For more information refer to 10/14/2008 weekly. ============================================================================ Anomalies: DOY 310 11/05/2008 S-ACE-0376 G08-0111 DSS-46 Brief TLM Outage The receiver at the station lost lock for unknown reasons. The station increased the RF loop bandwidth. DR#C106618 IMPACT: Minimal. 9 minutes of intermittent telemetry and 3 minutes of no telemetry were redumped at the end of the pass. DOY 313 11/08/2008 S-ACE-0377 G08-0112 DSS-46 SLE Problems The ACE MOC software was unable to successfully BIND to the station. The station toggled the command status between Halt and Operate several times without success. The FOT was troubleshooting from home with the station via the Ops Chief. The station reloaded the desktop, but commands were still unsuccessful. The station performed one more toggle to Halt and back to Operate and the SLE bind was then successful. The FOT was travelling to the MOC when the station successfully resolved the problem. DR#C106622 IMPACT: Activities delayed 47 minutes. DOY 316 11/11/2008 S-ACE-0377 G08-0112 DSS-27 Commanding Problems Commands were not being transmitted to the spacecraft. DR Pending. IMPACT: Minimal. Activities delayed 7 minutes.
