ACE Weekly 12/28/2010 - 01/03/2011 All ACE spacecraft subsystems are performing nominally. ======================================================================== Orbit/Attitude: No maneuvers were completed this week. The next attitude maneuver is scheduled for Wednesday 01/05/2011. ======================================================================= OCRs: None ======================================================================== Activities: Data Capture: 100% DOY 360-002 2011 There is a higher than normal risk of data loss from October 2010 through February 2011. If there are problems with the passes, it may not be possible to acquire additional DSN time. ======================================================================== Anomalies: Last week anomaly numbering: There was an additional unreported ITOS tm_controller anomaly on 12/23/2010. The following is the updated numbering for last week's anomalies. 12/21/2010 DSS-65 Brief Telemetry Delay G10-0083 -> G10-0083 12/23/2010 ITOS tm_controller -> G10-0084 12/24/2010 Goldstone Power Glitch G10-0084 -> G10-0085 12/26/2010 ITOS tm_controller G10-0085 -> G10-0086 DOY 364 12/30/2010 S-ACE-0572 G10-0087 DSS-27 CMD problems DSS-27 was receiving commands from the MMOC, but was not sending them to the spacecraft. The station switched from CMG1 to CMG2 (Command Modulator Generator) and the commands were successfully sent to the spacecraft. DR#G110919 IMPACT: Activities delayed 25 minutes. No NOAA impact (spacecraft in RTSW format). WIND anomalies reported when they would affect ACE. DOY 002 01/02/2011 S-WIND-0413 ITOS tm_controller Before Beginning Of Track, ITOS had problems connecting telemetry, "timeout reading from tm_controller". ITOS was stopped and restarted and the WIND pass was taken successfully. IMPACT: Manual intervention required. DOY 002 01/02/2011 S-ACE-0573 G10-0088 DSS-27 Precal Delayed The station's precal activities were not started at the scheduled time. DR#G110930 IMPACT: Activities delayed 33 minutes. No NOAA impact (spacecraft in RTSW format). DOY 002 01/02/2010 S-ACE-0574 G10-0089 DSN Data Capture and Delivery DSN's DCD (Data Capture and Delivery) had an automatic failover causing a link connection to be lost (1655z). DSN performed a manual DCD failover which resolved the problem. DR#G110936 IMPACT: Telemetry paused for 12 minutes. The telemetry was backfilled when the connection was restored.
