ACE Weekly 10/11/2011 - 10/17/2011 All ACE spacecraft subsystems are performing as expected. ======================================================================== Orbit/Attitude: No maneuvers were completed this week. The next attitude maneuver is scheduled for Friday 10/21/2011. ======================================================================= OCRs: DOY 285 (10/12/2011) MOCR 357 Return to Record During Pass Starting on 09/07/2011, ACE stopped recording during passes in order to reduce the amount of data on the SSRs (Solid State Recorder) and thereby reducing the amount of antenna time needed during the first 3 weeks of the GRAIL mission. DSN antenna availability has increased as GRAIL has reduced their usage and ACE has returned to recording during passes. This eliminates the risk of unrecorded data loss when data gaps occur during a pass. ======================================================================== Activities: Data Capture: 99.99% DOY 282-289 2011 DOY 283 17:01:39-17:02:19 38 seconds gap in pass, SSR not recording ======================================================================== Anomalies: DOY 285 10/12/2011 S-ACE-0630 G11-0056 CMD Corrupted During DSN Test DSN Goldstone was testing the switching from commercial to generator power and checking the integrity of local UPS systems. There was a power glitch at DSS-27 as a command was being transmitted to the spacecraft. The spacecraft flagged and discarded the corrupted command. When the antenna tracking was restored, the ITOS mission software retransmitted the command which was successfully received by the spacecraft. DR#G112035 IMPACT: Activities delayed 10 minutes. The spacecraft flags were cleared with the TELLTALE_CLEAR command. ff 14 0a d0 1b 17 72 18 CMD sequence sent from MMOC ff 14 0a d0 e4 e8 8d e7 CMD sequence transmitted by DSN Note the bit inversion after the 4th byte
