ACE Weekly 08/07/2012 - 08/13/2012

All ACE spacecraft subsystems are performing as expected.

Orbit/Attitude:

No maneuvers were performed this week.  The next attitude maneuver and
station-keeping #62 maneuver are scheduled for Monday 08/20/2012.

OCRs:

DOY 220 (08/07/2012) 1802-1803z SWPI-046 SWEPAM-I CEM Voltage increase
The instrument team returned the CEM voltage level back to 2 for the
SWEPAM-Ion instrument.  The team had increased the CEM voltage level by
1 step (100V) for 3 weeks (7/16/2012-8/7/2012 DOY 198-220) to test
instrument performance.  During these 3 weeks, the Monday calibration
was not performed for SWEPAM-Ion (only performed for SWEPAM-Electron).
With the CEM voltage level returned to previous value, the SWEPAM-Ion
calibrations resumed on Monday 8/13/2012.

Activities:

Data Capture:  100%  DOY 218-225 2012

The SSMO review for ACE using the WS1 ground antenna has been scheduled
for Thursday August 30.

Anomalies:

DOY 223  08/10/2012  S-ACE-0647  G12-0009  DSN TLM SLE Provider
DSN notified FOT that the MMOC had not initiated commanding.  The FOT
travelled to the MMOC and found that the MMOC SLE Software (MUS) was
unable to connect to DSN TLM SLE Provider (ECONNREFUSED).  DSN Data
Control restarted the ACE processes on the JPL TLM SLE Provider and
telemetry reached the MMOC.  DR# N108304.  This problem last occurred on
7/8/2011 (DR# N107474).
IMPACT:  Activities delayed 40 minutes.  No impact to NOAA SWPC since
the spacecraft was in RTSW during the 40 minutes.

The following lists the various SLE problems that occur every once in a
while.  Some may be fixed by the new version of MUS (v4.1) of which
testing is ongoing.
