One might at first think that it would not be all that useful to compare catalogs from the mid-infrared and X-ray wavelengths, since the dusty sources and PAHs that make up the mid-ir images are much cooler than anything that should produce X-rays. In general, this turns out to be the case, but the few objects that do appear at both wavelengths are quite interesting. A good public resource is the Midcourse Space Experiment catalog, which can be downloaded from Gator at IPAC. For simplicity, I downloaded the table and placed it here. In addition, S. Ramirez and S. Stolovy reduced Spitzer IRAC observations of the inner 1.5 by 0.8 degrees around Sgr A*. These have much higher resolution than MSX (2" vs. 30"). |
