Summary of meeting on P60 archive IPAC 7-10-03 --------------------------------- present: Carol Lonsdale, Derek Fox, Bill Reach, Bruce Berriman, Schuyler Van Dyk, Fiona Harrison, Brad Cenko, Vinot We reviewed the preliminar MOU drafted by IPAC that covers the basic assumptions about the archive (e.g. data volume, accessibility, proprietary periods, etc.). Carol will circulate an ammended version, so I will not summarize it here. The MOU identified a number of questions, which we discussed, and agreed: data will be transferred once/day and posted to the archive the same day. the data will be available within one hour of transfer. data to be archived: fully-calibrated images, raw images, calibration data (flats, standards, focus images), nightly log file images will be FITS with strict compliance with FITS standards, and will include astrometry parameters. The log file will be ascii text. The archive will allow a proprietary period to be specified. We will discuss what this should be again, but likely it will be set by the proposer. One user and password will be assigned to the Caltech group. Action items: Derek will provide Bruce, Bill and Anastasia with a list of searchable header keywords as soon as possible. Derek or Brad will get sample images to IPAC as soon as possible. Carol will update the MOU and circulate. ********************************************** Fiona A. Harrison Assoc.
