    Formation of the Daystrom Institute

The Daystrom Institute was formed on 16 February 2000, merging the SETI@Home efforts of Jerry Harmon, Shane Larson, and David Zartman. The impetus for the formation of the team? The following email from Mr. Zartman:

    Jer,

saw your Seti results and the Harmon group. Me and Shane oughta join ya. I have 203 units done and shane has like 500, the geek. I would be averaging 11.5 hours per unit on my 350 G3 (with copper IBM PPC, baby!) but I have a 132 Mac at work doing it too and the bastard uses like 75 hours per unit.

If you would like to join the Daystrom Institute SETI Team, please drop me an email: shane@physics.montana.edu

We'll add you to the team, and on this page will: add your stats, your home page, and a description of your hardware.
