ACE Real-Time Solar Wind Data
ACE Real-Time Solar Wind (RTSW) Data from NOAA's Space Weather Prediction Center (SWPC) provides up to an hour's advance warning of unusual solar activity, such as solar flares and coronal mass ejections, which can cause geomagnetic storms.
Four ACE instruments supply data to NOAA's SEC for RTSW processing. The instruments are:
- EPAM - Energetic Ions and Electrons
- MAG - Magnetic Field Vectors
- SIS - High Energy Particle Fluxes
- SWEPAM - Solar Wind Ions
